There are some wonderful presentations included in the eighty some presentations.  Note that access to videos changes from time to time so I do not know how long this link  will be valid.

image

Figure 1 from Pam Misialek’s blog post of November 15 at https://community.dynamics.com/gp/b/gpteamblog/archive/2016/11/15/product-roadmap-and-strategy

If your company is using Dynamics GP, you can now plan your next update or upgrade based on the roadmap that “Inside Microsoft Dynamics GP” has released.  Here are the highlights:

  1. After the December 1 R2 release, Microsoft Dynamics GP will be updated annually in the late fall time frame.
  2. If you have new features that you want to see in a future release, enter them at Connect.Microsoft.com
  3. See the GP 2016 R2 Videos at https://community.dynamics.com/gp/b/dynamicsgp/archive/2016/11/11/microsoft-dynamics-gp-2016-r2-new-feature-blog-series-schedule

Here is the slide that announces the new features available in GP 2016 R2 which is being released on December 1.  You will notice that there are some features that users have been asking for.  This slide illustrates that Microsoft is listening to the requests from users and implementing them as new features.  You can see in the Figure 1 slide that the release in 2018 will be based on user requests.

Microsoft Published a Dynamics GP Directory

                           Figure 1 – comes from oasis.unc.edu – thanks!

In keeping with the policy of making information easier to find, Microsoft Dynamics GP team published a GP Directory Page.

Here is the link:  https://mbs.microsoft.com/customersource/northamerica/GP/learning/documentation/system-requirements/dynamicsgpresource

I think they have done a wonderful job of condensing a lot of information.  I am impressed with these two sections of the directory because they are helpful and they are easy to use.

Analytical Accounting In Dynamics GP 2016 Changes the Way Users Have Access To AA Codes

image

I was excited to see that Microsoft is changing the way permissions are granted for Dynamics GP 2016 Analytical Accounting.

Cheryl W ‘s wrote a blog in Dynamics GP Support and Services – you can see it here:  https://community.dynamics.com/gp/b/dynamicsgp/archive/2016/06/09/mdgp2016-aa-user-access.

When you check it out, you will see the before and after change that Microsoft has made.

Thanks for writing this up, Cheryl.

Well done, Microsoft Dynamics GP team.
